But everything you know about St. Patrick's Day is wrong. You might imagine that the very first St. Patrick's Day parade was a lovely affair winding its way down the beautiful coastal roads of Doolin with the Cliffs of Moher in the backdrop, while everyone dreamed of that great home cooked meal of corned beef and cabbage. Whelp, that ain't how it happened. You see, even though the Irish have been celebrating St. Patrick's Day for more than a thousand years, the first St. Pat's parade was actually held in a Spanish colony in what is now Florida. We bet you didn't have that on your bingo card. Oh, and corned beef and cabbage is also an American thing, made popular by Irish immigrants in Manhattan. Here's more: St. Patrick was actually born in Britain and he didn't banish snakes from Ireland because there were no snakes there to begin with.
Don't worry...there's one thing you can be absolutely sure of on St. Patrick's Day: There will be good craic at Barley Creek! Join us for a grand time with plenty of Irish food and drink specials at all Barley Creek locations. We'll have Leprechaun Lemonade, Irish Margaritas, and whiskey flights. Plus, Irish Red, Irish Stout, and Superhop are all on tap. (Yes, we know Superhop isn't Irish, but he's green, right?) Sláinte!
